Field Hockey Player of the Year

Allison Goodwin, a 2020 graduate of Gloucester High School, was recognized recently by the Peninsula Sports Club as the Field Hockey Player of the Year and was selected as the club’s 2020 Betsy Thomas Award winner. That award is given to the top female high school athlete. Goodwin attends the College of William and Mary and plays field hockey for the Tribe. Pictured are, from left, GHS varsity field hockey coach Mike Miller, Goodwin, her mother Tracy Goodwin, and GHS assistant varsity field hockey coach Anne Winter. The Sports Club’s awards ceremony was scheduled for June and was ultimately canceled after several reschedules.
