FFA fundraising

The Gloucester Future Farmers of America chapter’s Environment and Natural Resources team placed first in the state this summer, earning the opportunity to represent Virginia at the National FFA Convention next month in Indianapolis. Team members, shown from left, Leland Webb-Dyson, Kara Willoughby, Lexi Spangler and Delisha Minor have been studying and fundraising in preparation for the trip. Students will be having a bake sale at the Gloucester Master Gardeners’ Plant Extravaganza from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Gloucester Moose Lodge. They will also be holding a car wash at O’Reilly Auto Parts, Gloucester Point, on Sept. 20 and are selling tickets for a basket raffle through Oct. 4. Donations can also be sent directly to the school. Any support is appreciated....
