Ferguson changing Gloucester showroom into warehouse

Ferguson has closed its residential lighting and appliance showroom on Main Street, Gloucester, as the site is being retooled for other uses.

Christine Dwyer, public relations manager for Newport News-based Ferguson, said the company is in the midst of setting up the former showroom as a warehouse for its plumbing and heating/ventilation/air conditioning operations. The plumbing/HVAC business in Gloucester is aimed at professional tradesmen, Dwyer said, but open to the public.

Ferguson closed the small local showroom in order to allow customers to receive one-on-one assistance and “a better experience” at its large Williamsburg and Newport News showrooms, Dwyer said. The Gloucester showroom had not been staffed for a number of months.
