After serving for five years as Gloucester County Administrator, J. Brent Fedors will not be returning to the position due to medical circumstances, it was announced Monday.
Following this year’s budget season, Fedors took a leave of absence in April and had yet to return prior to the official announcement. Now that he will officially not return, the Gloucester Board of Supervisors will look to fill the position.
First, the board will solicit a professional firm to assist them in finding candidates. Once a firm is found, they will conduct initial screenings of applicants based of the board’s criteria. After presenting the board with vetted applicants the board will then conduct in-person interviews.
Carol Steele, Deputy County Administrator, has been serving as Acting County Administrator since Fedors first took his leave of absence.
