Gloucester County Public Schools Chief Financial Officer Dwight Duren painted a grim funding picture for the Gloucester County School Board during its regular monthly meeting held Tuesday night in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium.
Duren informed the board that the federal funding that supports the division’s title programs is currently being withheld from the district.
“Currently, Gloucester County Public Schools is at risk of losing over $231,000 in federal funding related to our title programs,” said Duren.
Specifically, he said, Title II, Title III and Title IV will be directly affected if these funds are not released by the federal government.
