Farmers can take a free winter course

The Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College offers for the first time a free winter course for the farmers themselves. There are no conditions of age or education, young men and old are both wanted. There will be practical courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. This winter course lasts three weeks and is mainly demonstration—just what the practical farmer needs. Write to Dr. P.B. Barringer, Blacksburg, Virginia, for an announcement.

East Coast Telephone Incorporated took possession of the Tidewater Telephone Company property, recently purchased by the first named corporation, last Thursday. The deed of transfer was filed in the County Clerk’s Office Monday and gives the consideration as $100 and other valuable considerations.

Night telephone service will be established in the very near future, it is stated.
