The 2019 Friends of Dragon Run fall paddle season runs from Oct. 17 through Nov. 3, weather permitting, by reservation only. These trips will take paddlers on a three-mile stretch of Dragon Run through an early 19th century canal that was built to take cypress logs down the river. “It’s an enchanting section of Dragon Run, especially with the fall foliage,” a release stated.

Reservations are being taken. To register, go to the Friends of Dragon Run website, www.dragonrun.org and use the Signup Genius. There are 12 reservations available per day.

Dragon Run cannot accept any paddler under the age of 18, a release said.
