Fairfield to hold Historic House Party at Brighton

The Fairfield Foundation is taking reservations for its 11th annual Historic House Party, its biggest fundraising event of the year. The party will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Brighton on the East River at Port Haywood. Food will be provided by Chef Beau Felder, and music by Shane Norris. Proceeds will help complete the finishing touches “needed to bring Timberneck across the finish line,” a release said. The Timberneck House is almost ready to open its doors for lodging, it said. After years of preservation work, community investment, and restoration spearheaded by the Fairfield Foundation, the final phase of renovations is preparing the house for guests, programs, tours, and long-term public use. Individual tickets are available for $100 per person. Businesses and individuals interested in sponsoring the event can choose from several sponsorship levels.
