Artist Dorothy Fagan will discuss the process of making paintings come to life during First Friday, beginning at 5 p.m. on Jan. 7 at Arts on Main in Gloucester.

Those attending will experience the artist’s process, “with stories, dreams, and color woven together and transformed by a healing artist journey,” said a press release.

The opening of Fagan’s exhibit, “Peaceful Heart: An Artist Journey with Color Heals Trauma,” will be held afterward, from 6-8 p.m.

The evening’s events are free and open to the public.
