A Faerie Tea will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Bay School Community Arts Center, 279 Main Street, Mathews.
The magic happens at Faerie Tea, said a press release. Faerie Tea masters have been busy planning the center’s second annual event, and those registered are invited to bring their favorite tea cup and enjoy a full afternoon tea with a woodland Faerie theme. Faerie dress is encouraged and prizes will be awarded for best costume, said a press release.
Tickets are $45 and include the full afternoon tea menu with fae-inspired savories, scones, and sweets, along with hot or iced tea. Participants will also get to create a faerie necklace guided by faerie artist Virginia Coyle.
There will be door prizes and raffles of faerie/tea themed items, most of which are created by faerie artists, as well as a Fae Boutique stocked with local flowers from Georgetown Farms, Faerie Jellies from Jan Towne, and jewelry by Denise Bush and Lindsay Phaup.
