She lived in Mathews for a year or so during the time her mother was having and recuperating from hip replacement but she calls Colorado home. Kay Rice, daughter of Katherine Miller Hendrick of Mathews, has published “Your Holiday Feast, Recipes & Planning Guide.” The cookbook can be found on Amazon.

“The recipes in my book are tried and true; I’ve launched all of our family favorites! Some recipes have come from generations ago. They are ones I grew up with. Some are from my mother, a Mathews native, some from her mother, also a Mathews native, and one from my grandfather, Thomas B. Miller, another Mathews native,” said Rice.

In addition to all the wonderful recipes that Kay has included in her book, she has a complete section on how to plan and prepare a holiday dinner.
