Bay Aging President and CEO Kathy Vesley (right) is this year’s recipient of USAging’s Excellence in Leadership Award. Her nomination was supported by Bay Aging staff and several community leaders, including U.S. Congressman Bobby Scott (D-Newport News). This national award recognizes Vesley’s efforts to advance the mission of the Older Americans Act. She was presented the award on July 16 at the USAging Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, by USAging CEO Sandy Markwood (at left).
