Evergreen opens landscaping materials showroom

After working only on its own projects for a number of years, Evergreen Property Management & Landscape Materials opened to the public recently.

Owner Eddie Hodges of Ware Neck said the business now has opened a showroom and service lot on Route 17 just north of Burleigh Road. There, he employs 8-10 workers seasonally.

The business has several components. Evergreen sells an assortment of regular and colored mulch, Hodges said, as well as compost, fertilizer and grass seed. His crews also provide lawn design and maintenance at clients’ locations.

In addition, the business handles property management for Evergreen Development, which includes grounds and related maintenance at nearby Fox Mill Center. Through an Evergreen subsidiary, Atrium Development, the company handles maintenance for a large commercial property near Williamsburg.
