THURSDAY

KING’S DAUGHTERS AND SONS: The Chesapeake Bay Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons will meet at noon today, Thursday, May 28 in the fellowship hall of New Point Friends Church.

TEA: Tea with the Ton will be held at 6 o’clock this evening, Thursday, May 28, at Gloucester Library, Main Street Center. Explore the world of Bridgerton and Jane Austen. Dressing up is welcomed. No registration required. For adults 18 and older.

FRIDAY

MARINE SCIENCE DAY: The Virginia Institute of Marine Science will host its annual Marine Science Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 1370 Greate Road, Gloucester Point. Family-friendly, with numerous activities, and free to the public.

MONDAY

LIBRARY BOARD: The Mathews Memorial Library Board of Trustees will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the John Warren Cooke Conference Room at the library.

MASTER GARDENERS: The Gloucester Extension Master Gardeners will have a talk on “The Effects of Climate Change on Plants” by Dr. Janet Steven at 10 a.m. Monday at Abingdon Parish House, 4645 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester.

COMMUNITY POLICY: The Mathews Community Policy and Management Team will meet at 11 a.m. Monday in the Human Services building on Church Street.

TUESDAY

COMMUNITY POLICY: The Gloucester Community Policy and Management Team will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Social Services conference room, 6641 Short Lane, Gloucester.

SUPERVISORS: The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the colonial courthouse, 6504 Main Street, Gloucester.

LAB NIGHT: The Fairfield Foundation will have Lab Night from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at 6783 Main Street, Gloucester. Volunteers will help clean and process artifacts from current expeditions.

WEDNESDAY

RESOURCE COUNCIL: The Gloucester Resource Council will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, in the Gloucester County Main Library community room, 6920 Main Street, Gloucester.

ARTIFACT WASH DAY: The Fairfield Foundation will have Artifact Wash Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, at 6783 Main Street, Gloucester. Volunteers will help clean and sort artifacts from recent excavations.

PET STORY TIME: The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will have Pet Story Time from 1-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, at 6620 Jackson Lane, Gloucester.

DAV: Chapter 58 of the Disabled American Veterans will meet at on Wednesday, June 3, at the chapter headquarters, 6265 Professional Drive, Gloucester. The group will gather at 5 p.m. for snacks, with the meeting starting at 6. Meetings normally last less than an hour, a release stated.

WETLANDS: The Mathews Wetlands Board will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, in the historic courthouse on Court Street.
