FILM SCREENING: Canine Companions and local puppy raisers will host the screening of the short, animated film “Andy: A Dog’s Life” at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Mathews Memorial Library, Main Street, Mathews.
CAR SHOW: The Middle Peninsula Classic Cruisers will hold its Cruise-In at 5 p.m. Friday at the Main Street Center parking lot, Gloucester. The weekly Cruise-In events are held every Friday night through the end of October.
MUSIC: Shane Norris will perform from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at Richardson’s Café at the corner of Main and Church streets in Mathews.

TICK FORUM: A Tick Forum with the Old Dominion University tick research team will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Brent & Becky’s Bulbs, 7900 Daffodil Lane, Gloucester.
TIMBERNECK OPEN HOUSE: The Fairfield Foundation will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Timberneck, 3601 Timberneck Farm Road, Hayes. The late 18th century home, owned by the Catlett family for generations until the early 20th century, will be open for guided or self-guided tours.

EDA: The Gloucester Economic Development Authority will have its quarterly meeting from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at Olivia’s in the Village, 6597 Main Street, Gloucester.
TECHNOLOGY DISTRICT: The Gloucester County Planning Commission will have a meeting on a proposed Technology Overlay District to attract and accommodate data centers to the Glenns area, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at Rappahannock Community College’s Glenn Campus, 12745 College Drive, Saluda.
