CAR SHOW: The Middle Peninsula Classic Cruisers will hold its Cruise In at 5 p.m. Friday at the Main Street Center parking lot, Gloucester. The weekly Cruise-In events are held every Friday night through the end of October.

ISLANDER REGATTA: The Islander Regatta, the Mathews Outdoor Club’s annual nine-mile paddling event, will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, beginning at the Islander Hotel and Resort, 633 Old Ferry Road, Mathews. GWYNN’S ISLAND FESTIVAL: The Gwynn’s Island Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Gwynn’s Island Civic Center, 1996 Old Ferry Road, Gwynn. There will be handmade crafts and local vendors, food, live music, Lord Dunmore skits, a Kids Zone, and more.
ART IN THE VILLAGE: The Gloucester Arts Festival will host Art in the Village from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday along Main Street and the Court Circle. It will include an Artisan Fair, Community Mural Painting, pop-up art classes, live music, and more.
FESTIVAL RECEPTION: The “It’s a Wrap Reception” for the 2025 Gloucester Arts Festival will be held from 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the Fine Arts Museum of Gloucester, 6894 Main Street. The 2025 Heart of the River Collection will be on display and unsold paintings will be available for purchase.
FLAT IRON: Anthony Rosano and the Conqueroos will perform at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Flat Iron Crossroads, 7709 Flat Iron Road, Gloucester, as the final event of the Gloucester Arts Festival. Tickets are $25 at the door or $20 in advance at flatironcrossroads.com.

LOVE SIGNS: A ribbon cutting for two new VA250 LOVEWorks signs will be held from 1-1:30 p.m. Sunday at The Hatchery/Oyster Seed Holdings, 425 Callis Wharf Road, Grimstead. The ribbon cutting will represent the unveiling of two signs, one at the hatchery, and the other at Williams Wharf.
BLOCK PARTY: Petsworth Church will host a Community Block Party from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Petsworth Baptist Church, 2471 Hickory Fork Road, Gloucester. There will be music, gift card raffles, food, bounce houses, and other activities. It is free and open to the public.
