SOCIAL SERVICES: The Gloucester Social Services Board will meet at 7:30 this morning, Thursday, April 17, at 6641 Short Lane, Gloucester.
SUPERVISORS: The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the proposed FY2025-2026 budget and tax rates at 6 o’clock tonight, Thursday, April 17, in the historic courthouse on Court Street. The board will also have its regularly scheduled April meeting.
SCHOOL BOARD: The Gloucester County School Board will meet at 6 o’clock tonight, Thursday, April 17, in the Thomas Calhoun Walker Education Center auditorium, 6099 T.C. Walker Road, Gloucester.

PARTY AT THE WHARF: Mercy Creek will perform during Party at the Wharf on Friday. Gates open at 5 p.m., with music from 6-9 at 1039 Williams Wharf Road, Mathews. Salty Bob’s Oyster and Seafood Co. truck will be on hand and there will be a cash beer and wine bar. Tickets are $5. Children 12 and under free of charge. No coolers.
