“Beyond the Irregular Pearl: An Evening of Early Music” will be performed at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, at Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh. The performers are Christopher Newport University music majors. They are, seated from left, Kasey Watkins of Gloucester, a music education and piano performance major, on piano and flute; Brigid Donahue of Lexington, who is pursuing a master’s in teaching, with undergrad majors in music education and oboe performance, on oboe; and, standing, Charlie Smith of Spotsylvania, also pursuing a master’s in teaching, with an undergrad major in music education and a concentration in trumpet.
