Evelyn “Blanche” McClure, 76, of Gloucester, died Dec. 27, 2018.

She worked at GEX in Hampton, Virginia Institute of Marine Science at Gloucester Point, and Fort Eustis. She retired in 2002 from Fort Eustis. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Howard E. Dudley; infant twin sisters, and sister, Dixie Cantor, and a great-grandson.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ronald McClure Sr., sons, Ronald McClure Jr. of Gloucester, Jackie McClure of Yorktown; sister, Elsie Church of Boone, North Carolina; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held for immediate family members.

In lieu of flowers, send donations to the American Diabetes Association.

Cremation Society of Virginia, Newport News, was in charge.
