Eurice Benny Wood, 78, of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Cobbtown, Ga., to the late Eurice Bennett and Gerona Graham Wood.

Benny was a well-known brick mason in Gloucester, and was a member of the Triangle Squares Dancers and Hampton Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Parker Wood.

He is survived by his children, Sharon L. Wood, Steve V. Wood, Laurie W. Abraham and her husband Edmon, Charles M. Wood and his wife Jeanette, Nora F. Wood, and Jennifer L. Wood; his sisters, Donnie Minnetti, Joyce Salter, and Natalie Cradic, and his grandchildren, Daniel E. Abraham, Austin E. Abraham, Benjamin A. Wood, Hunter J. Wood, Parker W. Wood, Makenna R. Wood, Aubreneé M. Wood, and Brett R. Dawkins.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Andrews Funeral Home on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Clint Miller.
