A funeral for Ethel Janney Jones, 73, of Gloucester, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in Rising Valley Baptist Church, James Store. She died on Nov. 12, 2015.

She was born on April 15, 1942 in Richmond, Va. She was preceded in death by her mother, Josie Louise Jones.

Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Jones and Carole Sue Jonson; one son, Jermaine Holmes, all of Gloucester; two sisters, Carolyn Smith of Mathews, and Emily Sue Jones of Gloucester; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held from 10-11 o’clock Thursday at the church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Darry Echols, with interment following in the church cemetery.
