Erosion commission approves buffer modification request

The Gloucester County Chesapeake Bay Preservation & Erosion Commission approved one buffer modification request and deferred action on another request during a meeting March 14 in the colonial courthouse.

By a 5-2 vote, Bronco Bayless and Rick Klein voting against, the commission approved the application of Paul Cramer. The commission’s action provided exception to structures within a seaward 50-foot Resource Protection Area and future improvements to include front entry steps, raise elevation to driveway and green space. The property is located at 2259 Cramer Lane.

In granting the modification, the commission stipulated that a pole barn on the property be removed and approved driveway maintenance of gravel, recording secretary Linda Walthall said. Also, the applicant was to furnish a survey to specify "no mow" zones that would be recorded as a covenant to the property in the Gloucester Clerk of Circuit Court Office.
