Entries sought for Teen Film Festival at Gloucester Library

Entries are being accepted for the eight annual Teen Film Festival at the Gloucester Library. Deadline for submission is April 3.

A panel of judges will select the winners. All entries will be shown at a public screening and awards night with light refreshments at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the main library in Main Street Center.

John Ayers, library technical services specialist, said recently that entrants must be ages 14 through 18. Individuals submitting films must have a valid Gloucester County Public Library card and have no outstanding fines from the library.

Entrants must be from Gloucester or nearby counties, Ayers said. Films of all genres will be accepted, he said, can be a maximum of 10 minutes long, and cannot contain profanity or gruesome, gory or explicit scenes. Also, no music or images protected by copyright should be used in the film without authorization of the copyright holders.
