The ZOOM IN on Newport News Photo Contest kicked off on June 1, with entries being accepted until Oct. 31.

This year’s contest comes with a few changes. The age limit for contestants entering the 2021 competition has been lowered from 18 to 12. Additionally, Newport News Tourism has eliminated the “professional” and “non-professional” categories to simply award one grand prize of $500 to a single winner.

The theme for this year’s competition is “The Great Outdoors.” Photos must show outdoor life in Newport News.
