Eno named director of Mathews Library

The Mathews Memorial Library Board of Trustees has appointed Mathews resident Robin Eno to the position of library director, effective July 1. She replaces former director Bette Dillehay, who retired in November 2025.

Eno comes to the position with a wide range of experience, said a press release. While serving in the United States Navy for eight years, she was the music librarian for several fleet bands of which she was a member. Additionally, she was a media specialist and technology coordinator in both elementary and high schools and, most recently, served as the elementary music director for King and Queen County Public Schools. Eno holds a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science, a Master’s Degree in Music Education, and an Education Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision.

As library director, Eno will oversee library operations, programs, strategic planning, staff development, and partnerships within the community to continue to promote access to information and educational opportunities.

A resident of Mathews County, Eno is well-acquainted with Mathews Memorial Library and is excited about the opportunity to serve as its director, said the release.

Board of Trustees Chair Mary Ann Carr said, “Her enthusiasm for getting down to work, meeting the staff, volunteers and patrons, and becoming involved in the community is not only obvious but is contagious.”
