Engraving services offered at newest White Marsh store

SEAS Gifts, Plaques & More opened for business Nov. 1 at the White Marsh Shopping Center.

Owner John Swisher of Gloucester said the corporate name is Swisher’s Engraving and Sublimation LLC and he trades as SEAS.

Swisher operated his business on a limited basis from his home for a couple of months before leasing a 1,500-square-foot showroom and production area at White Marsh.

Swisher offers all types of engraving and sublimation (dye impression) services. He engraves plaques for business and sports awards and does imprinting on shirts, coffee mugs and other items.

He sells gifts as varied as slippers and water bottles to picture frames, clocks and tote bags.

His wife, Angela, helps out in the business part-time. A native of Germany, she is a cook at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

Originally from Philadelphia, Swisher retired in April from the U.S. Army, where he served 20 years with his highest rank Master Sergeant (E-8).
