Gina Ventresca of Yorktown, was appointed as an English teacher at Gloucester High School in personnel action taken by the Gloucester County School Board during its Dec. 13 meeting.

The board also appointed Janice Whorton of Glenns, as the nurse at Petsworth Elementary, Nicole Rowe of Hayes, as the assistant nurse at GHS, and Denise Campbell of Gloucester Point, and Jeanette Stevens of Gloucester, as teacher assistants at Achilles Elementary.

Resignations were accepted from GHS business teacher Calesha Turner-Aaron, effective Jan. 2, and Achilles teacher assistant Leslie Chavis, effective Nov. 30. In addition, retirement was approved for Page Middle School math teacher Louise Corbin-Reed, effective Jan. 1, and support services employee Eugina Boyd, effective Dec. 1.
