On Oct. 4, the owners of Daddio’s Subs & Stuff at York River Crossing, Hayes, donated 20 percent of sales from noon to 2 p.m. to the Alzheimer’s Association. This event was hosted by “Team Blanche” in support of ending Alzheimer’s. The Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue also showed their support.
