Emergency aid

The Mathews Branch of the NAACP donated $1,000 to the Emergency Assistance for Families fund at the Mathews Department of Social Services. These funds will be used to help local families in need. NAACP treasurer Gaylen Davis is shown presenting the check to Director of Social Services Tiffany Gordon. “The members of Mathews Branch NAACP are pleased to be able to contribute to the Emergency Assistance for Families Fund for Mathews residents,” said NAACP president Edith Turner. “We know that there are families in our community who face financial emergencies and who can benefit from our help. Partnering with the Department of Social Services is the best way to reach those most in need.”
