A memorial service for Elva D. Gerlach, 104, of Virginia Beach, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 in Bethel United Methodist Church, Onemo. She died Oct. 28, 2017.

She was formerly of Mathews County, and was the oldest member of the Chesapeake Bay Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons.

Survivors include three children, Barbara G. Bass, Claudia G. Temple, and Mark E. Gerlach; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

The service will be conducted by the Rev. James Mattox and Pastor Yosub Namgung. A reception will follow the service.
