Eltham Bridge at West Point to undergo test openings this week Posted On September 30, 2020 The Eltham Bridge connecting West Point and New Kent County is the subject of test drawbridge openings this week. The Virginia Department of Transportation said new electrical equipment to operate the drawbridge was recently installed. The tests of this equipment will be conducted Friday and next Wednesday, Oct. 7, in two 15-minute intervals between 1-2 p.m., VDOT said.
