Elsie Jane Vega, 72, of Mathews, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

She was born in Cumberland, Maryland, and was the daughter of the late James C. Dwire and Ella Neighbors Wratchford. She was retired from McDonald’s as a manager and a member of Central United Methodist Church in Mathews. She loved online games, especially the Pogo Community.

She is survived by her husband, Victor M. Vega; daughters, Angela Otto (Michael) and Jennifer Shaulis; stepson, Victor Vega (Barbara); grandchildren, Ella and Evan Otto; step-grandchildren, Vanessa Trahan (Bo) and Victor Vega (Heather), and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Isabelle Trahan; her faithful companions, Suzie Q and Tia, and a host of family whom she loved.

The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, from 12-1 p.m., with a memorial service at 1 o’clock.

Memorial donations may be made to Central United Methodist Church to help with funeral expenses for Jane.
