On Monday, May 25, 2026, Elliott Hill Belvin, age 85, of Hayes, was called by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to his heavenly home. Elliott loved the water and dedicated his life to working on and around it. He worked on many vessels, fishing the Atlantic Ocean, Chesapeake Bay, and other local waterways. Later, he owned and operated his own seafood business, feeding the Mid-Atlantic for decades. He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Stanley Belvin Sr. and Martha H. Belvin, as well as his brother, E. Stanley Belvin Jr.

Elliott is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy; his sons, Michael and Daniel (Cody), and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Mike Lawhorn will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, in Union Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
