Ellen Garfield, 63, of Cobbs Creek, formerly of Wall, New Jersey, passed away on April 8, 2018.

Ellen was born in New York, New York, and lived in many states throughout her life. She spent her career teaching art history at Monmouth University in New Jersey before retiring and moving to Virginia.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Alvin and Elizabeth Garfield.

She is survived by her three children, Ari Schwartz of Mathews, Bari Edwards and her husband Jeff of Mathews, and Jamie Kinder, and her husband David of Ormond Beach, Florida, and her many grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Melissa Garfield of West Orange, New Jersey.
