Eliza Jane Ruth Corbin, affectionally known as “Sookie,” was born on March 23, 1925 to the late George G. Paige Sr. and Carrie Griffin Paige.

Liza was called from labor to reward on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at 2:57 a.m. surrounded by her nieces and nephews.

She leaves to cherish her memory: nieces, Mary Jane Crockett, Carrie “Elizabeth” Forrest (Kelvin), and her nephew whom she raised, Charlie Paige Jr. (Gloria).

A viewing will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. at Howard Funeral Home, Ark. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. at The First United Baptist Church, 6188 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
