Eleanor R. Newcomb, 79, of Mathews County, formerly of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Larew, and is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond R. Newcomb; daughters, Judy Ellis, Kathy Kerr; son, Raymond B. Newcomb; sisters, Joyce Heath, Dorothy Fry, Frances Southerland; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Dale Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
