Eleanor Bane Corell Orrell, 92, of Staunton, Virginia passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016.

She was the widow of the Rev. Julian S. Orrell.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy O. Leake (Terry) and Frances Vest (Mike); a son, Tom Orrell (Brenda); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Burial followed in Gwynn’s Island Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Eleanor’s memory to the Matthew S. Crittenden Scholarship Fund, c/o Fran Miller, 356 Healy Creek Drive, Hardyville, Virginia 23070.

Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Virginia was in charge of the arrangements.
