Edwin Earl Pendleton of Richmond, went to be with Our Father in sweet heavenly peace July 16, 2013.

Mr. Pendleton served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, a veteran from the Pacific Theatre and member of the UDT Unit.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Virginia Sawyer Pendleton, and daughter, Beverly Jane Pendleton Black.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Pendleton; son, Danny Ray Pendleton (Denise); daughters, Bonnie Faye Pendleton Lantz (Reggie) and Mary Katherine Redmond; stepchildren, Diane Cole (Charles), Gene Suggs (Carol), and Ben Suggs (Frances); sister, Mary Denny; brother, Horace Pendleton (Diane) and Melvin Pendleton (Sandra); 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 West Broad St., where services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 19. Interment followed at West Hampton Memorial Park, Richmond.
