Edward “Eddie, Throck-morten, Sweet Papa, Peggy” March, 60, of Gloucester, died unexpectedly at his home May 9, 2015.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Will March and Jane Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda March; three daughters, Michelle March and husband Vince, Amanda Darden and husband Curt, and Pamela DeVaughn and husband Josh; five grandchildren, Lilian Duncan, Chloe and Haley Darden, Derek and Jordan Hartman; two brothers, Will March and wife Joyce, and Ronald March and wife Debra.

Eddie retired from Huntington Ingalls (Newport News Shipbuilding) as a supervisor in the pipe department. He enjoyed country music, hunting, fishing and NASCAR racing. However, nothing gave him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren.

Eddie had an extremely humorous side and he could tell stories and jokes all day. He loved to make others laugh. Eddie was a wonderful husband, dad and grandfather who will be dearly missed. 

A celebration of his life will be held at  6 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The Rev. Arthur L. Wolz Jr. will officiate. Inurnment will be private.
