Sometimes it seems that Americans are on the verge of tearing apart our beautiful national fabric.
We hear, “President (pick a name) hates America. The (pick a name) Party is destroying our nation.”
We hear and read about every action of anyone in power. It is dissected, criticized, scorned … and alternatively, exalted and praised.
Are we really like this?
When it comes to a number of topics, the answer is no.
In late May, the Washington Post printed a guest column by Jim McLaughlin and Tom Z. Freedman, strategists and pollsters respectively for Republicans and Democrats.
