Who has the inner courage to jump into danger; to rush into a burning building; to stop the bleeding?
This week the Gazette-Journal publishes a salute to First Responders (Section C) with information about the volunteers and professionals who work to save lives and property and to keep our communities safe.
It takes a rare breed of person to put one’s own safety upon the line while saving others. Police officers do that, firefighters do that, rescue workers do that. Even when called to dangerous situations, they respond willingly and promptly.
