We were almost at the point of writing the annual “Know your county board” articles for this space, giving contact information for supervisors of Gloucester and Mathews, when the thunderclap burst announcing Pepper Love’s resignation from the Mathews body.

Given that development, we reverse the usual order of things. In case Mathews County residents want to get in touch with their remaining elected officials we print that information below, with the promise that Gloucester County members’ data will follow in a week or so.

We omit Love’s information, although as of Wednesday it was still viewable on the county’s website. Go there, www.mathewscountyva.gov, if you want to know more. In the meantime, let your supervisors know how you want them to proceed with the turmoil at hand and with county business in coming months.
