The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors has organized for the new year with one new face among its seven members.

The board has many issues before it, often the same topics renewed for the current budget, year in and year out. But this year, with an improving economy, it may find that residential development will start to boom again. There are signs that the housing market is finally heating up, to catch up with the commercial development that hardly slowed during the great recession now ended.

Will our county be ready for the growth to come? We predict this question will take on great importance in the next decade.
