The late Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren may have been a bit too harsh in his judgment of front pages of newspapers (for instance, we often feature positive stories of local residents’ accomplishments on our front page), but he was spot on about his take on the sports section.

And if he were around today to read this week’s sports pages in the Gazette-Journal, he’d break out in a big grin. The fall sports season was definitely one to remember for fans of Gloucester and Mathews sports.
