Editorial: Giving Tuesday

Today, many of us will gather around the Thanksgiving dinner table and give thanks for the blessings that have we have received.

On Tuesday, we will be asked to pay it forward, giving to one of the many deserving charities in our communities through “Giving Tuesday.”

Giving Tuesday, according to the website www.givingtuesday.org, is a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.”

A number of local organizations are participating, including in Gloucester: 4 Paws Animal Rescue, Arts on Main, Friends of the Lewis B.
