Editorial: From the ground up

The Gwynn’s Island Museum, now more than 20 years old, is the product of Jean Tanner’s vision, effort and countless solicitations for old materials.

With the support of the Gwynn’s Island Civic League, she has built the museum from the ground up. And it has all been volunteer work, on behalf of the people and place she loves.

Thank you, Jean Tanner, for your tireless dedication to the history of your adopted homeplace. You have a worthy successor in Tom Edwards, who will surely lean on your experience and knowledge as he carries on.
