Editorial: Fresh voices

Many newspapers will not accept letters to the editor endorsing candidates. This newspaper does, but, as stated several weeks ago, we have limits.
One of those limits is on length, and we thank our correspondents for keeping it (mostly) short in recent weeks. Thanks also to Mr. Rilee, whose letter of Oct. 13 stressed this point. Brevity allows more voices to be heard.
We will always favor fresh voices on fresh topics. Repeat letters from one person on the same topic, or candidate, will always go in last. Let’s keep the editorial pages fresh, lively … and diverse.
Thank you.
