Editorial: Endurance and perseverance

It’s a rainy day in mid-April as we sit at the keyboard to think about things that endure, things that change, things that work to give us a great community.

We hear that “April showers bring May flowers” but we think there is a significant blossoming at hand this month. How do you feel?

In Gloucester, the Daffodil Show has been revived as part of the Gloucester Daffodil Festival. This is a time-honored spot for daffodil exhibitors and Gloucester, of course, is the proper place to hold such a show.

Meanwhile the Garden Club of Gloucester looks to the future by educating children about flowers and arranging them, and the club had a special corner at the Daffodil Festival where youth could fashion their own interpretations.
