Something different flashed into the do-over presidential race last week. The challenge to an early debate from President Biden was quickly accepted by former President Donald Trump.

If the plans hold up, we can expect them to meet on a debate stage on June 27. That’s right around the corner.

Finally, something interesting has happened in this rematch of men we know all too well. Perhaps we will learn something new … and get some new topics to consider.

At the same time, our sympathy goes out to nearby Virginia State University in Ettrick, which was well on the way with preparations for an originally scheduled October debate. It would be nice to see VSU get another look as the campaign continues.
