Ed Oliver, long a familiar face on the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck’s power equipment scene, joined Fleet Brothers, Inc., at Hartfield in mid-October.
"It is a pleasure to welcome Ed Oliver to our staff, "company president John Fleet Jr. said. "Ed’s many years of experience and expertise in the industry will be a great addition to our company," Fleet said.
Most recently, Oliver worked for another Middlesex company. He brings with him over 30 years’ sales and service management.
Fleet Brothers offers a full inventory of equipment for farm, lawn and garden, landscape, industrial and home back-up power needs, said John Fleet III, a manager for the family-owned business. Fleet Brothers, which has been designated a Gold Star dealer by John Deere, is also an authorized dealer for Massey Ferguson, Stihl, Koeh-
ler and others.
Fleet Brothers has its flagship store at Hartfield and a branch at Tappahannock. In all, the company employs more than 20 people, John Fleet III said.
The business was founded in 1954 by John Fleet Sr. and his brother, Gwathmey Fleet.
